About This Opportunity

QBotix is seeking an entrepreneurial Marketing Associate (or Manager) who has a demonstrated ability to create and implement both tactical and strategic marketing initiatives in a dynamic, high growth rate work environment and industry.  We seek highly motivated individuals who have the ability to think about and plan for the big picture, as well as roll up their sleeves and do the heavy lifting required as we grow our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Specific areas of focus will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with Dir. of Marketing to develop & execute marketing plan
  • Design and create marketing collateral including spec sheets, case studies, tech notes, proposals, ads, etc. using MS Office & Adobe Creative Suite
  • Manage marketing & tradeshow vendors including PR firm, photo/graphics, web, etc
  • Initiate and manage lead gen activities and manage Netsuite CRM
  • Manage PR including press releases and social media strategy
  • Manage and update QBotix website, self-performing most tasks
  • Support technical analysis and reporting, e.g. test site and customer data
  • Plan and attend/staff trade events (may require periodic travel)
  • Perform competitive market analysis on business and technical aspects
  • Support/promote sales & business development with market research
  • Assist in managing partner and channel marketing activities
  • Support cross-functional product marketing and product development 


  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in marketing or related field with references
  • A bachelors (or advanced) degree in a relevant business/technical field and exp.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in the solar energy industry
  • Excellent writing, communication, organization, computer, and technical/analytical skills, and strong capabilities with MS Office and a CRM (preferably Netsuite)
  • Strong technical and financial capabilities or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Comfort and fluency in fast-paced start-up sales and marketing environment
  • Ideal candidate knows or can quickly self-learn WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite
